Tanya with  Tink — Calm Canines founder and behaviourist.

About Tanya

I’m Tanya, a Dog Trainer and Behaviourist based in Northam, supporting dogs and their families across Perth and the Wheatbelt. I specialise in helping puppies, reactive dogs, anxious dogs and dogs with everyday behaviour challenges. My approach is calm, supportive and focused on understanding why a dog is behaving a certain way, not just the symptoms. I work 1‑on‑1 with you and your dog, creating a plan that feels achievable, realistic and tailored to your lifestyle. My goal is to help dogs feel safe, understood and supported, and to help owners feel confident guiding their dog through everyday life.

Why I do this

I know how overwhelming behaviour challenges can feel — and how life‑changing it is when a dog finally feels understood. My goal is to make training simple, kind and effective.

My approach

Calm behaviour support
Focus on emotional wellbeing
Clear communication for both dog and owner
Practical steps you can use every day
No harsh methods, nor reliance on food

Who I help

I support dogs of all ages, breeds and backgrounds across Perth, Northam, the Avon Valley and the Wheatbelt. You don’t need to have everything figured out — that’s what I’m here for.
